FISH JUDGE: George Dante has had the same job his entire life- his own taxidermy business, which he started as a parttime job in high school. An artist first & formost, George graduated from the presigious School of Visual Arts in New York with a B.A. in fine arts. His sculptures, paintings & illustrations have been shown in numerous New York galleries. His many awards include the 1997 National Championship for a Reproduced Fish & an NTA Award of Excellence. He is also an NTA certifed judge. George is currently restoring many taxidermy specimans from the famous habitat dioramas of the American Museum of Natural History. He lives & works in Totowa, New Jersey.

He has competed in the Masters Division & the Division of Excellence at the World, National and regional taxidermy competitions. Fred is the 2004 North American Champion in Whitetails, The National Joseph Bruchac Memorial Award winner, And a winner in the National Challenge of the arts; He also won Best of show Whitetail & Best Open Mouth Whitetail in the masters division at the NWTF. convention. Other awards include 3 Breakthrough awards, Many best shows, 2 WASCO awards, 5 Bruchac award, 4 Taxidermists choice awards, Woodie award & the Mckenzie outstanding service award. Fred is a life member of the NTA. He has the NTA Award of Excellence & is a past president of UTNY. He loves the art of taxidermy & enjoys sharing information with other taxidermists. He uses judging as a tool to teach others, & to learn more himself.
Glen Browning
BIRD JUDGE: A native of British Columbia, Cananda, Glen has had a lifelong interest in birds. He has been active as a falconer with his Harris hawk for many years. Although he began practicing general taxidermy at the ageof 15, he gradually concentrated more & more on his area of special interestuntil his practice became devoted to birds only. His dedication to accuracy of detail, enhanced by his other lifelong passion, photography, soon enabled Glen to excel in his chosen field, & he has subsequently won numerous top awards in national & international competitons. He has ready access to several local private avicultural & public zoological bird collections featuring numerous species ranging from waterfowl & upland game birds to parrots, hornbills, & other exotics. His observations & close up photography of living birds have allowd him to acquire an intimate & ever-increasing knowledge of avian anatomy, morpholgy, natural history & behavior that has proved an indispensable asset in presenting mounted specimens in authentic & lifelike mmanner for which his work is internationally known, as well as in his capacity as an instrutor of avian taxidermy. Glen now spends his time mounting birds, teaching, judging shows as well as other pursuits related to this art. Glen has served as a seminarian at the World & European Championships. He has co-authored an instructional guide on bird mounting and is currently compiling a series of anatomical drawings & photographic references representing the most popular bird families.
